There are several reasons why you should practice breathing Meditation.

But before you jumped to this topic of Practice Breathing meditation, you might want to go through my other article Beginners in Meditation.

I want you to know what is Meditation before moving forward. To dig in-depth about the practice of Breathing Meditation.

So, let’s breathe it out and while we breathe in you grab all the positivity of this article.

What is Breath Meditation?

Awareness of breaths coming in and going out is Meditation. Witnessing breathing coming in and going out and being an awareness of self in those gaps between breaths is Breath meditation.

We have many sensations in our body and most of the sensitisation is of the mind such as touch, emotions and feelings.

Practice Breathing Meditation

Bring awareness of all the sensations in your body and acknowledge them while you breathe in and watch those sensations without any judgements.

The awakening from such awareness, while we breathe in and out, is Breathing Meditation and practising such awareness is Practising Breathing meditation.

Also, Breathing meditation is about focusing our attention on the natural rhythm and flow of every breath coming in and going out.

Reason 1: Practicing Breathing Meditation Helps Reduce Stress

Recent research was conducted by various online portals; meditation can be helpful to reduce stress.

When we allow ourselves to focus on breathing deeply, a certain amount of neurons communicate with each other.

There is a release of a chemical in the blood giving directions to the heart, lungs and other different parts of our body that controls our stress.

In the Practice of Breathing Meditation daily, we control our breathing thus controlling our heartbeat and the blood pressure that the heart gives.

Reason 2: Practicing Breathing Meditation Reduces Anxiety

And in the same way; Practicing Breathing Meditation deep and long activates certain neurons that help release the stress and anxiety hormone called Cortisol

Cortisol, when released into the bloodstream, can have a variety of effects on the body, including:

  • When you’re stressed or in danger, your body reacts.
  • boost the body’s glucose metabolism
  • keep your blood pressure in check
  • decreases inflammation

Excessive or very low Cortisol causes many negative impacts on our body such:

  • Gaining weight, especially around the abdomen and face.
  • Skin that is thin, delicate, and difficult to heal.
  • acne.
  • Face hair and irregular menstruation periods are two issues that women face.

Breaths are the “ONLY” bridge between the physical and Spiritual Worlds.

The bridge is like connecting two places that exist. But to see this we need to become very aware of our breaths coming in and out.

Becoming aware of breaths is by Practice Breathing Meditation.

The more we practice Breathing Meditation; the more we become stress-free, and Anxiety free. We live our lives joyfully.

You can Practice Breathing Meditation at any time.

You can practice it while you have leisure time, before eating, sleeping or travelling by bus.
